Every weekend there was a party held for me, first by my co-officers, in Max’s Fried Chicken; then my enlisted men, in the EM’s Clubhouse; then by my Civilian Employees, inside our office; and finally by Col. Solud, in his newly built mansion in Pasay City, where he invited all officers, enlisted men, civilian employees, and friends of Hq. MPC(PA) area to attend his blowout for me at this new house.
Col. Solud was a very rich man who had no children, as he married late to first amass wealth. His two-story mansion was too BIG for him and his wife and their cats! I told everybody that Col. Solud helped me to pass the Bar and that without his help I could not have made it, and could have been like Tony Quirino, son of Pres. Quirino.
When I told everybody that I was going to give my own blowout for my passing the Bar, my EM set up a BIG tent in front of our small house in Pandacan.
The BIG crowd of well-wishers from the Hq. MPC(PA) with my co-officers, my EM, my civilian employees, relatives, and friends, headed by the 100-man Constabulary Band, paraded around Pandacan with my placard, ATTY. JOSE B. SIBAYAN, NOTARIO PUBLICO, in front of them, carried by M/Sgt. Vargas!
It was, I guess, the biggest party ever witnessed in Pandacan, because even the big tent was not able to hold everybody inside during the eating, and the whole band had to eat elsewhere and were gone before our picture-taking.
I have never been so proud and happy with Pat in my life! Praise God. JBS
